To whoever has the PAR meter currently... Can I use it for 1 quick hour? I'm in a desperate need to measure the difference in PAR between no cover, acrylic cover, and egg-crate cover over my gf's 260gal reef. I'm coming to a conclusion that since putting egg-crate cover over the tank 2 weeks ago the Montis (and now I'm seeing Acros) are starting to bleach. I see no other explanation. The AB 10K DE Metal Halide bulbs are only 4 months old - the corals were growing rapidly up until about 2 weeks ago. All water parameters have been stable for the past 4 months... Please help!

I'm sorry for the trouble you are having, but I really do doubt that the eggcrate is the culprit...

Perhaps you've overlooked some tank parameters?

Maybe it would help if you provided your known (and recent) tank parameters?

Rob,

I have the par meter, and as I said before let me know when you would like to get together and I'll let you have it...

Suggest a place somewhere between where you are and where I am (frederick, md) and we'll get it worked out.

Would Germantown work for you? I can meet you there today.

Germantown works, but not on mother's day... how about monday?

Dave

I'm going back to work - to St Louis on Monday. I'll be back on Friday. Can you ship it me? Priority Mail is fairly cheap... $4

Dhoch,

If you're going to the meeting tomorow, can you bringt the PAR meter with you? Thanks!
