okay so I'm ready to purchase sand for my 90g. which sand is the best (looking for clean and white) and about how many years pounds would I need? thanks!

I have 100lbs of arag-alive in my 75g (usually same footprint as 90g). That made the sand bed roughly 1.5" in my tank.

I used CaribSea Arag-Alive Special Grade Reef Sand on my 90G and it's been great thus far. I ordered 5x 20-pound bags (so 100 pounds total) and found I could have probably made due with just 4 bags (80 pounds total).  Depends of course on your rock work but may be worth starting with 4 and then ordering a 5th if you need it.  I also ordered on Amazon - Prime none the less - for roughly $15/bag less than I could get it anywhere else.  Not sure if it's still available but might be worth looking!
