madmax7774 May 4, 2006 May 4, 2006 I think I am cursed. I can't seem to keep anenomes alive. I am on my 3rd anenome, and the darn things just always die for some reason. I have great water parameters, and I do weekly water changes, and I have metal halides, and good flow. does anyone know how to reverse an anenome curse?
Guest alex wlazlak May 5, 2006 May 5, 2006 where do you buy them at? i got two cheap ones from superpetz in annandale and they both died, but their stock isnt healthy. but i never tried again after that...
emissary May 5, 2006 May 5, 2006 I have the anti-curse I guess. My LTA I have in my 75 I've had since I STARTED. It survived the learning process. It survived getting lodged into 3 different pumps over time. It survived a tank move where everhything was removed but the anemone, cucumbers, sand, and a TINY bit of water and then all re-setup again. I also got a white anemone at one point and then it nursed back to being dark brown with purple tips. It's now doing quite well. I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this
steveoutlaw May 5, 2006 May 5, 2006 How old is your tank? You need a very well established tank with stable water parameters to keep an anemone. I've had my tank set up for 5 months now and I'm just now looking to get an anemone. Of course, none of this matters if you're Yanek..........the rules don't seem to appy to him!!
rocko918 May 5, 2006 May 5, 2006 What kind are they? What size tank? How long has it been setup? What else is in the tank?
