QT Procedures

My tank should be up and running in the next couple months and I was wondering what are your QT procedures for fish, corals, inverts, etc.

 

Seems like there are varying practices out there right now.

hi aaron, glad to hear you are doing you're doing your diligence of research and questions now prior to stocking, that's awesome. you will certainly have you figure out what is feasible for your schedule and abilities but there are wonderful resources and much more support with accurate information then there was even a couple years ago but still take your time to parse through it all developing your own protocol. if you need assistance, feel free to PM; that's what we are here for.

 

I use the same protocol on my fish and acros as I do for my clients. that detailed protocol is on our site here. for inverts and other coral it's usually 76-80 days in quarantine. I really enjoy the time I get with my fish in qt and treatment most times and hope with the right preparation it's an equally beneficial experience for you.
