Guest ethandvm April 18, 2006 April 18, 2006 I have a 120 Reef Tank (30 gallon sump wet/dry filter, Aqua C120 skimmer, (2) 15W Metal Halide with Actinic Lights) with several softies (mushroom, elegant, star polyp), favia, frogspawn, and hammer corals. I also have a hippo, yellow tang, 2 firefsh, flame angel, rainbow wrasse, tomato clown, and bangkok cardinal. I am thinking about adding a yellow long nosed butterfly, do I have enough room? Will it be ok with my current corals? Thanks
rocko918 April 18, 2006 April 18, 2006 Looks like it would be fine to me. The yellow might chase it around for a while, so it might hide for a while. They are a sensitive fish, make sure you get it eating before you put it in the main tank. Setup a q-tank for it. It will give the fish a better chance at making it in the tank. Tomatoes can be agressive as well.
Larry Grenier April 18, 2006 April 18, 2006 Very kewl fish however I have heard that they have been known to nibble at certain corals, and may not be reef safe for this reason. Do more research to prove this right or wrong.
