sethsolomon August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 So with having problems with getting the AC working in my Apt, I decided it is time for me to get a chiller for my tank. I am wondering what chillers do people use arround here? I am eyeing the Teco TK-1000.
ridetheducati August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 Provide more information about the room the tank is in. Adding a chiller may be counter productive. How do you plan to remove the heat in the room generated by the chiller?
sethsolomon August 14, 2015 Author Share August 14, 2015 So my apartment is basically 3 large rooms. and the tank is in the inner side of the apt. (Center of the building). The only means of removing heat is when the AC is working which is about 9 am - 8 pm. I do not have access to the thermostat. And a bathroom vent fan. My tank was 83 degrees last night and it only dropped by 0.5 degrees over night. As for the ac side, the house has 2 AC/Furnace units. I believe the first is for the basement (my apartment) and the 1st floor. and the second is for the second and third floor. Some thoughts I have had are to install my own thermostat on the first unit. But I am no HVAC expert. Are thermostats wireless or will it have to be wired in? s2nhle August 14, 2015 Share August 14, 2015 How about a fan or two blowing across the water surface.
