Nano tank build all in one

Need help I'm setting up this all in one nano tank but the problem is that the return pump is shooting out water faster then what the water is dumping back into the sump any suggestions? You need a smaller pump. Your drain can't handle the amount of water that your return pump is pumping into the display (even at the lowest setting).

Either that or you put some kind of restriction on the pump (ball or gate valve) that you can throttle it back with, but what is the point in running at too much power throttled back, you are just wasting energy at that stage.
