londonloco April 29, 2015 Share April 29, 2015 (edited) I have the Avast ATO on a 65g w/sump, a Tunze nano ato on a 16g IM fw and 12g Mr. Aqua fw and the bigger Tunze version on a 75g fw tank. All versions have been up and running over 18 months, all tanks have snails in them, never had a problem with any of them. I will say both Tunze models do shut off after a minute to help avoid over fills in case of failure. I did look at the smart ATO, but at the time it was pretty new, plus the price point turned me off. Edited April 29, 2015 by londonloco
Reefer_Madness April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 Its a little over a quarter in size. front and side, i think if you can fit a golf ball in, then you should be fine. i'll get you the exact thickness of it in the morning. +1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Reefer_Madness April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 Had a JBJ ATO for 7 years. It works fine. There is brand new one on the FS thread now from Haywood (Dcreefer) good deal Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
zygote2k April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 I've used JBJ's and Tunze- both had their issues. I've installed nearly 30 AVAST Ato's so far and see no reason to change.
