Reefer_Madness March 28, 2015 March 28, 2015 My Foxface is severely co-dependent. Previously he paired up with a Snowflake clown until the clown was murdered by another fish. Now he has paired up with my new Vermiculate Leopard Wrasse. The wrasse doesn't appear to care at all about the foxface, but Foxy follows the leopard around and brushes up against her all the time. Very strange couple. Needy fish I guess. https://vimeo.com/123503697 Anyone else have a weird/interesting couple like that?
sen5241b March 31, 2015 March 31, 2015 ... the clown was murdered by another fish. Anyone else have a weird/interesting couple like that? "Murdered"? My two clowns argue incessantly. They both ram into each other and try to push the other away in an aggressive way every time I look in the tank. I cannot explain it.
Reefer_Madness March 31, 2015 Author March 31, 2015 I had a super aggressive Hawfish that chased him. In the end it was my fault. All of the other fish in my tank were peaceful and the Hawkfish had his way with everyone in the tank. None of the other fish pushed back so it just intensified his aggression. He was a mean dude among wuss fish. I gave the Hawkfish to another WAMAS member for an aggressive tank he has been peaceful ever since. The coolest thing was watching the Hawkfish try to attack the Foxface. As you know Foxfaces have venomous spines. When the Hawkfish would dart at the Foxface, she would align her spines with the Hawkfish. Needless to say the Hawkfish would slow down very quickly and go back to minding his own business. Nature in action. Pretty cool.
Reefer_Madness March 31, 2015 Author March 31, 2015 My old Hippo Tang always was on the lookout for a BFF. Must be a herbivore thing. She looks for BFFs until someone doesn't chase her off.

She used to hang around with my hippo tang and follow him incessantly. Now it's her and the sailfin. She does occasionally pulse and flash her spines.

That's funny. The funniest thing is when I put in a chunk of lrs. The two of them "share" but the gold head sleeper goby will come up and steal the chunk right away from them and swallow out whole.
