Reef eScape November 25, 2014 Share November 25, 2014 (edited) We have a blind porcupine puffer up for adoption! This puffer was in our 265 gallon predator tank for about a year. He had an infection in both eyes a few months ago, and after two rounds in our quarantine system, he is now completely blind. Because we cannot safely place him in a customer or display tank, we're trying to find someone to adopt him and put him in a safe tank without sharp edges or anything else he could bump into and injure himself on. He is currently in a 15 gallon tank and eating well, but has a white spot (that will heal) on his right eye from bumping into a piece of PVC pipe that was placed in his tank. If disturbed he tends to spin in circles and will occasionally inflate slightly. Feeding him requires a bit of patience because of this, food needs to be put right in front of him in order for him to detect it. However he is an active, lovely fish and deserves a home where he can thrive despite his blindness. Here's a video of him taken earlier today: http://s284.photobucket.com/user/L82RISE/media/GOPR0081_zps22sl319c.mp4.html If you would like to adopt this puffer, free of charge, Reef eScape is open Fridays from 2pm to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Please stop by if you'd like to give this guy a good home! Edited November 25, 2014 by Reef eScape
