Jim Mc November 9, 2014 Share November 9, 2014 For some reason I always want to use my overflows for something more than just a water drain, so here is my latest idea. Fill the overflows with about 6 inches of sand for a mini deep sand bed. Any thoughts? Good, bad, ugly.
CaptainRon November 9, 2014 Share November 9, 2014 If you do it, make sure you put a coupling on the drain higher than your sand. For me, I think it'd be way more trouble than it's worth.
Jim Mc November 9, 2014 Author Share November 9, 2014 I have couplings on there now so am covered there. I just cant decide if I should pull the trigger on this idea. I keep thinking if it works great but if it doesnt how the #$%% am I going to get the sand out.

Now I'm trying cleaner styles, but no regrets. At least an overflow stuffed with rubble is a pod haven. Let us know what happens, maybe you're the trend starter?!
