He usually won't swim up in the water column to get them (though, once in a while he does). He'll go after the ones that fall to the bottom all the time though. Fishie August 27, 2014 Share August 27, 2014 i got my mandarin from David (coral hind) and it ate pellets all at the time....however in my tank all my greedy fish don't even let the pellets reach the bottom...so i doubt he gets any....have had now for 2 some years...very active and out all the time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
