mling August 14, 2014 Share August 14, 2014 I have a decorator crab, about 2", in my frag tank. It was one of those, "It's a sale and it's cool! Let's get it!" buys. I was planning to put it in my FOWLR tank. I did not know how aggressive it could be with inverts. I have also since found out that puffers and hermits don't go well together too. Since I am will to give up on having hermits in my FOWLR, I am now thinking of putting the decorator crab in it. My only concern is that I do have slow moving Urchins and a star fish in it. Do you guys thinks this crab will have Urchins and Start fish for dinner ?
BadCrab August 15, 2014 Share August 15, 2014 Decorators are still crabs, meaning they are opportunistic feeders. Provided you keep him well fed he shouldn't harm your stars and urchins. Provide him with enough macro, sponges, or polyps to get camo'd and (again provided he is well fed) your puffer should leave him alone, too.
