RW09903 March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 ThatPetPlace.com is selling the Apex Lite with pH probe for $420. Is that basically the same thing as the Apex Full since the pH probe is included?
ridetheducati March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 The lite does not have the variable speed controller.
Quantum Aquaria March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 the apex lite does not come with a ph probe either. only the full apex comes with either the standard or lab grade ph probe depending on the version you get.
RW09903 March 28, 2014 Author Share March 28, 2014 Hmm, I thought that the Apex controllers were sold at a fixed price, hence the $525 price tag on current sales for the Apex Full. I also thought that the APex Lite was discontinued. Curious if they are selling an Apex Full instead because the orignial price is $499.99 and it includes a pH probe. Curious if they are selling an Apex Full instead because the orignial price is $499.99 and it includes a pH probe. the MSRP is $499 for the Apex Lite. The MAP for an apex lite is $370. They put the $499.99 on there as a "trick" to simulate you are saving money. $45 for a standard ph probe... so $415 total. you are actually paying $5 more with this package than if you were to buy individually. You will also need PH7 and PH10 calibration fluid since the Apex Lite doesn't come with them... They maybe bundling in order to move inventory. The Lite is being discontinued. The Apex Lite was discontinued as of mid February.
