smallreef March 27, 2014 Share March 27, 2014 so, my husband came home to the smell of electrical burning... walked down stairs and touched the dj strip and one of the switches was as hot as haites! so, can these switches be replaced or is it just better to buy a whole new one... also, since im not sure how much each one of these seperate switches can handle should certain things not be run on them? lights for instance or the main return pump? should i plug these items into a regular surge protector or something else? dont want to get divorced because my tank caused a house fire! YHSublime March 27, 2014 Share March 27, 2014 I would get a new one. Those are designed to carry a load of et basic you run on your tank. I would take the time to start thinking about an apex glad it was caught before it could have been worse!
