Squishie89 December 15, 2013 December 15, 2013 (edited) Had my first experience of a fish ending up in the sump. In this case it was a pipefish, and luckily he is okay. He has been a bit shaken up all day, but I can understand. No signs of any damage to fins or snout. He got VERY lucky. So he had to go through or over the overflow, down the drain, through the bubble trap/media to end up in the refugium where I found him. I am just glad I decided it was a big deal that I couldn't find one of the pipefish (you have no idea how well these fish can blend in) and we looked everywhere in the tank, so I turned off the pumps and looked in the sump, and there was his tiny face peering at me begging me to rescue him. What was absolutely adorable is as soon as he was back in the tank, his mate swam over to be with him. Edited December 15, 2013 by Squishie89

Squishie89 December 15, 2013 Author December 15, 2013 You have no idea. What made it even worse is I could not find him last night ( I check after lights out on things) and I had left one of the lids open and I was SO scared he jumped (these fish swim more than one might think).
