Kevin Garrison September 12, 2013 Share September 12, 2013 BRILLIANT... So beyond sad, it is bad enough we destroy our reefs and oceanic wildlife, now we give them an agonizing death by suffocating them. Matson's "statement" was pathetic to say the least and I hope some measure of attainable responsability is brought down on them. 233K gallons of molasses isn't exactly something you can miss happening. I have worked in a chemical plant, when pumping into a tanker you have many failsafes that ensure what you are pumping out of a tank into a tanker make it to where they are supposed to be going. Somebody wasn't doing their job and now the fish are the ones who pay for it by suffocating.
Origami September 13, 2013 Share September 13, 2013 Tragic. Maybe Snorkel Bob will now go after the Hawaiian sugar industry. Sent from my phone
