Ok so I have some carribsea white coral base rock the big ones from petsmart It's 10-15lbs. Maybe more

If I were to loan it to someone to stick in their sump to seed it and bring it to life how long would that take?

It would save me a bit of money. Or would it be better to post in trading. Trade dry for live? Thanks

If you were to seed it for me ill take a few days of sterilizing it before giving it to you. I have no diseases in my FW tank but I do off to kill off the BBs that grew on them

Orrrrrrr. What if I stick it in a bucket with a power head and heater with a handful of my live sand and a small piece of my live rock and put raw shrimp to rot. Maybe even stick it in the sun? Or is that gonna create disease lol

What I would do...is get some sand, live not live..whatever...

Put it in your new tank...

Put the rock in with it...

Either ghost feed or a piece of raw shrimp to start a cycle and let the new tank fully cycle before moving everything over...

I'll even bring you some old tank water from a water change to help a bit and give you a small piece of live rock to put in with the base rock you have....

I swear your like a fish angel lol. Your so kind and always helping me. That sounds good. Ill return your live rock right before adding nemo and my 12lbs. That way you won't get any hitch hikers. Speaking of hitch hikers I bought 5 tiny blue legged hermits I think 5 is too many. You want 2? They did a great job in a few hours they picked all the dead stuff off the rocks clean.

Once I rehome the fish. Ill give you some containers to fill with your WC water. And fill the rest with the walmart vendor water.

5 will be fine in the new tank...they would be eaten my my emerald crab in my tank, lol

Let me know whenever you get some sand..and I'll bring over the water and piece of rock..

I change put about 10 gallons every 2 weeks and just did my bi-weekly change today...

Is 5 too many for my small tank you fixed ? It's temporary should be ok. But ya I'm gonna try to give the fish tomorrow and ill run over to lowes and get play sand.

Actually. I have left over live sand in a bucket of salt water been sitting in my deck for a week. Theirs about 10lbs. Think it's contaminated ?

Just give that sand a thorough rinsing and it can be used...little bit of rain don't hurt nothin...lol

It was covered. In 3 gals of left over live water I just smelled it smells like ocean. It hasnt been cold out either water wasnt freezing, I think it's still alive. I stuck a air stone and a heater and PH in there and tossed some shrimp pellets in hopefully that'll "cook" it a little til were ready to start on the tank ^_^
