Coral Hind July 2, 2013 Share July 2, 2013 So, I was reading the newest issue of Coral today at work and they have a featured article on tangs. The author states that there is no different species for the "blonde" that they are all Naso liturants. I'm just wondering what you all have read and think on the subject. Do you think Naso elegans, the Blonde Naso, is a seperate species or not? Also in this article he states that N. lituratus "must have brown algae (e.g. Sargassum) in it's diet." I've never kept or feed that type of algae to my Naso, blonde or regular and they lived fine reaching adult colors with streamers. Does anyone here provide food that includes any Sargassum genus? smallreef July 3, 2013 Share July 3, 2013 If someone with a genetic science background could do a simple panel that would answer all the questions right? I personally thing it's an area variant that has become predominant ... But then again...I don't follow fish and their areas that much...
