CaptainRon May 25, 2013 May 25, 2013 My Dad's tank is on the main floor of his house with the sump in his basement. We recently installed a manifold to the system and the bleed off of multuple feeds (display, frag tank, refugium) makes his current pump (a Pan World 200 PS) too small. So the search for a new pump is on! The two leading choices so far, for the few pumps we've looked at, are the Pan World 250 PS or the Reeflo Manta. The Pan World looks like it should *just* work while the Reeflo would have room to spare. Of course the Reeflo also uses about twice as much electricity! Does anyone have any recomendations regarding these or other high-head-pressure pumps? Thanks!
Coral Hind May 25, 2013 May 25, 2013 How about the Reeflo Barracuda/Hammerhead Hybrid. It has a 23ft head and with the Barracuda impeller it would use about 1/3 the power. Plus you have the flexibility of adding the Hammerhead impeller which would give you a boost if you need it.
