Crushed coral on top of Sand Bed???

Is that Ok to put crushed coral on top of a sand Bed. Ah, on a established reef tank... I would like to add but not sure if I can do that. I must say not too much about a 1/2 in or a little more .

I put some in high flow areas........If you are trying to stop sandstorms try reef special blend.

You can but it tends to settle down into the sand after awhile.

I don't have problems with sandstorms... the only reason is because it easier for some coral to attach to crushed corals (srooms, etc..) but it is true after awhile it will start to settle down... I may try a bit to see how it goes.. Thanks guys

Just put some crushed coral in a small basket (like a drawer organizer) if you are trying to get shrooms to attach to something. FWIW, I just throw shrooms in the tank and let them wander the tank until they find a happy spot.
