Stubborn Algae in hose

Ah!

I though my mag 7 malfunction and order a new mag 7. I pulled it out several day ago and today tested it a bucket of water. it runs like a champ!

hook it back onto the return line and barely have any water coming out. So I thought maybe a small snail stuck in it.

 

look what I found inside my return tube (this is only half of what's inside):

hmm, wonder how it grows without any light.

I have a clear return hose that ran across an old 20w light used in my fuge/sump. I didn't realized it grow so much in side of the hose.

Neither! whacked it with screw driver handle and use pump to clear them up !
