Mike Mann July 5, 2012 July 5, 2012 (edited) So i just bought a flame angel and it was a great looking fish when i got him. he is now in my QT and has really took a turn for the worse. His eyes have like white caps over them and his tail is like falling apart and thining out. I also bought a Foxface and it is doing great. They stick together everywhere in the QT. I have not seen them go at it even once. Does anyone know what it is or what i should do? Edited July 5, 2012 by Mike Mann

What kind of antibiotics and where do I get them? He will not eat anything so far
smallreef July 6, 2012 July 6, 2012 I have never had to treat a fish,,, so as far as antibiotics I believe the Maracyn 2 is one of the most used and widely available ones... Is the foxface eating? and what are you feeding? what was the SG of the water they came in and the water they went into...
Steve175 July 6, 2012 July 6, 2012 (edited) Consider some live food (live brine or blood worms). Others will chime in with specific diagosis/treatment recs as well. A pic would likely help us guide you more specifically. Edited July 6, 2012 by Steve175
trockafella July 6, 2012 July 6, 2012 How long did you acclimate them and how did you acclimate them? As mentioned above, did you check the salinity of the water they came from? Were they eating at the store?
Mike Mann July 6, 2012 Author July 6, 2012 I drip acclimated for just under two hours. I tested the water in the bag and it was 1.024 and my qt is at 1.020. He will not eat I have not tried love food yet. I never asked what they were feeding. But I'm pretty sure all they ever use is live brine. I tried posting a pic WAMAS never let's me Anymore because of size and I'm not going thru all that phone bucket stuff.
