smallville May 19, 2012 May 19, 2012 I just brought a cleanup crew from Live Aquaria and one of the peppermint shrimp is pregnant. Right now I have him in the small refugium below, inside my main 25 gallon cube. Anyone have any recommendation on how to raise the babies when they hatch? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=3621
smallreef May 19, 2012 May 19, 2012 unfortunently they will not live... they are better off as special treats for your tank...
Coral Hind May 19, 2012 May 19, 2012 It is a lot of work but it can be done. Once the young grow up you have to find them another home as the adults normally kill the young when placed back into the tank. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-10/nftt/ http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2004/4/aafeature I agree with smallreef and just let it become a treat for the tank.
