Carl March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 (edited) I have a relative at Marco Island that posted this... "Anyone know what these creatures are and the shell? Found them on the beach at Marco Island. The smaller honeycomb is a coral I believe. What about the larger creature that looks like chicken meat? I was thinking the sea cucumber family...anyone know what it is? She is very curious to know what it is...but I don't have a clue what to tell her... She says its about 10 inches long. Any ideas??? marinebiologist March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 looks like a sponge and a set of egg casings attached to a rock but photo is small and you can not zoom so that is just a bit of SWAG (scientific wild ass guess)
Coral Hind March 6, 2012 Share March 6, 2012 I think that is a very good guess. I would say they are attached to old barnacles and not a rock
