Fuge for chaeto

Anyone have any suggestions on how to add chaeto to a sump while restraining it...I have a 2 chamber sump and I have enough room...but I don't want to chaeto to break out and get into my skimmer etc...

 

Any kind of flexible mesh or maybe egg rates or something like acrylic perforated ...idk

 

 

If nothing I'll just find a specimen container ...drill some holes and throw it in..

Build a cage out of egg crate and zip ties. That should work.

I made a flow-thru baffle for my chaeto side ... one piece of eggcrate - length is the size of the sump's interior, height is my normal water height - then has a piece of polyfilter attached to it. It acts as a mechanical filter for 'stuff' plus a barrier for the chaeto.

I use el cheapo plastic baskets from the dollar store to hold mine... they might have one to fit your settup... if not, eggcrate basket should do it.
