Well Im a little sad this evening. I came home and my new goby is dead :(

I tested the water and all is pretty good.

0 nitrates

.15 phoshates

.77 Alk

1.023 salinity

Not sure what happened, maybe he just wasnt eating (I was dropping some food in, but never saw him eat)

So I was thinking about the future of this tank again, since Im back to square one (except my snowflake clowns sitting at BRK) Could I put a mantis in there with these two clowns or will the mantis attack the clowns?

more than likely he'd atleast TRY to get the clowns.. and how sad would that be :(

how did you acclimate him? and when you say new.. how new was he?

He was put in on Sunday, so very new. I did a somewhat quick acclimation; not a good drip one as I didnt think he would really need it. I didnt have a bucket to use to do a drip, so I did it in the bag, but the bag sunk so not a good acclimation.

As for the mantis, I kinda figured it would be a bad idea but figured I would ask. I much perfer my clowns over the mantis, so I will figure something else out for a goby or other fish that stays on the sand.
