Guest Keyoke June 10, 2005 June 10, 2005 OK, So I've decided to kick my skimmer to the curb and get a decent one. Problem is, is that I'm running on a limited budget for the next couple of months. I'm willin to go to Ramen noodles for lunch if a better skimmer is going to improve my tank and quality of life for the critters under my care. I'm cuious as to what folks are using for similar setups, and what they think of the skimmers they're using both currently, and in the past. I'm looking for specifics - how well did it work for you, were there any unexpected maintenance costs associated (broken pumps?), what was the recovery time (if any) after water changes or feedings, was it easy to clean, made well, was it consistent in it's performance, etc. This is for a 90G tank, with a 20G sump/fuge, so for about 110G total.
steveoutlaw June 10, 2005 June 10, 2005 I was on a limited budget as well. I found a thread on RC about the Coralife Super Skimmer for under $200.00. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...e+super+skimmer Long story short - I got one and I'm very happy with it. You should check out the thread. Steve
