BP will dedicate $1 billion to early Gulf restoration projects

I get emails from NOAA being that I am a contractor. Here is one I thought some of you might like to read. It is public info However, I did x out some names just in case.

Let's not portrait them as hero's for doing this. They avg. nearly $100 million/ day profits so this is absolutely nothing to them. That money could be tied up for years before the first programs are authorized by the keepers (looks like 8 separate agencies) and by the time they start spending it will disappear rapidly. I do certainly hope this is the first of many payments made, if not, it is far from "encouraging", but may indeed be "historic". What a joke.
