beatle April 13, 2011 April 13, 2011 (edited) Rather than bogart Roni's flow suggestions thread, I thought I'd start my own. I have four Tunze 6055s, a 6105, and an Aquasurf. I run an Eheim 1260 as my return. I have a shallow < 1" sandbed and I plan on keeping mostly LPS, a few softys, and a handful of SPS. Right now I'm running two 6055s on opposite sides of the tank at full tilt, oscillating every 0.8 seconds from 30-100%. The flow is decent across the tank, as I can see my hair algae move but I'm sure I have some dead spots with only the two pumps. I've thought about putting the 6105 into service to replace one of the 6055s, and/or adding another 6055. Any recommendations for pump location or programming? Edited April 13, 2011 by beatle
roni April 13, 2011 April 13, 2011 On a 4 ft 120 I'd put the one 6105 on one end and the 6055 on the other...or maybe 2 aimed towards the center of the tank (1 in the back, 1 in the front corner). i think you'd get pretty chaotic flow that way.
