daharley March 6, 2011 March 6, 2011 (edited) ok got salt water dsb and 200+ lbs of live rock in my 220. Got live rock from roozens been in there system a while, but it took 5 hrs to get it into my tank with water How much of a cycle should I expect if any? If I had gotten it in the tank in under an hour I think ,if I have researched properly, it wouldnt have cycled but dont know about the extended time. Edited March 6, 2011 by daharley

GraffitiSpotCorals March 6, 2011 March 6, 2011 "If I had gotten it in the yank in under an hour" Well the point is you got it in the yank. Personally thats not my favorite but to each their own.
FearTheTerps March 6, 2011 March 6, 2011 testing is key, just keep checking your ammonia and nitrite levels, wait till they stay at 0 and you are good to go. If you have alot of livestock that you are moving over I would move it slowly if possible, giving the bioload a chance to stabilize.
iangibby March 6, 2011 March 6, 2011 I hope it doesn't happen but be prepared for a nice battle with some aptasia.
daharley March 6, 2011 Author March 6, 2011 I caught a pair of them, I think, in my current tank so I am gonna have to fight that battle any way lol.
