armymedic November 6, 2010 November 6, 2010 Ok i have tried the Oceanic Biocube skimmer and my seaclone 100 and neither seem to be working very well. Can anyone recommend a good quality skimmer for a 28 gallon nano tank?? thx.
tecsavi November 6, 2010 November 6, 2010 I am assuming you need a hang on the back skimmer with the ones you mentioned. I have a remora right now and it does ok but not what I was use to win in sump skimmers. My bioload is low and I couldn't have a sump with my old system. My friend was using a Tunze which skimmed excellent for a HOB skimmer, I was very impressed. Get ready to reach deep in your pocket, even for a used one. Here is an article from Glassbox that might be of help: Glassbox - 6 High performance skimmers
GraffitiSpotCorals November 6, 2010 November 6, 2010 I have a coralife 65 gal that you can hang on the back, it won't look good but it works good, I used it in my sump on my 55 for a while with a heavy bioload and it did great. PM me if you could use it.
armymedic November 7, 2010 Author November 7, 2010 Hmmmm...well thanks guys. Right now i have a CPR fuge attached to the back of my 28 gallon and there isnt any more room between that and the wall. Can i put a skimmer in the Fuge like the Tunze nano and it work just as good as in the back of the tank??
tecsavi November 7, 2010 November 7, 2010 I would avoid the skimmer in your fuge as you would be sucking up beneficial pods and such. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
