We sell the RO/DI water for $0.96 per gallon, premixed RO/DI water with Instant Ocean for $1.21 per gallon and now have a third vat premixed with Tropic Marin Pro salt for $1.35 per gallon! The target specific gravity (salinity) we try and reach is 1.025 which is the target point for most reefs. Remember when using the swing arm hydrometers that overtime they stop reading accurately so feel free to bring in your hydrometer and calibrate it against our refractometer. Or if you want to always ensure you are getting the correct reading, pick up a handy refractometer that very easy to use and extremely accurate! The new EcoXotic 25 gallon Cube tank and stand is on display here. This tank will be lit up using the Panorama LED fixture. The Panorama fixtures are a custom fit for virtually any tank, it's available in two sizes, 17.5" and 23.5" and is designed to install individually or in multiples for total flexibility while maintaining a super sleek appearance. Stop in and check out this LED fixture in action. We have a brand new complete 90 gallon aquarium set for sale. We have put together this set including the recommend sump, skimmer, circulation pumps, heater and some other accessories. Did you know that a refugium is beneficial to both a reef and fish only systems? A refugium can be of any size and are nothing more than a refuge from predation, which is connected to a larger tank with shared filtration. A refugium is used to grow algae for Natural Nitrate Reduction (NNR), isolate sensitive critters such as Seahorses or to hold/raise food such as copepods and amphipods for the main tank. Most refugia are used for NNR using macroalgaes and caulerpa to feed off the nitrates in the main tank. This also provides hiding and breeding areas for your copepods and amphipods which are a great live food source for picky eaters such as Dragonets. Don't forget to start dosing Iron and Bromide to keep your algae's healthy and growing. You can either hang a refugium off your main tank or plumb it into the sump system underneath the tank for a cleaner look.
