zygote2k May 26, 2010 Share May 26, 2010 Dear Professional Aquarist As an aquarium service provider for the last twenty seven years, I have been frustrated by the lack of quality information available to me in regards to fish health. I felt that the best way to provide outstanding service to my customers was to have a better understanding of fish health and diseases. I have attended seminars across the country, only to leave disappointed in the lack of focus of fish health, disease recognition and treatment. Fortunately, I was hired as an adjunct scientist at the University of New England and have been able to partner with Dr. Jeri Fox to set up the first Ornamental Fish Health Symposium. This two day event, held in August 14th and 15th, will feature well known speakers such as Dr. Ed Noga, Bob Fenner and Lance Ichinotsubo, focusing on the most up to date information available in a college setting. Actual wet lab seminars will be set up to teach basic lab skills and disease recognition. Professional aquarists from across the country will be attending this conference and it offers a great chance to network. We are offering tuition for only 100 attendees and seating for the wet lab is limited, so sign up early. The cost? Tuition is only $ 170.00. Dorm room and board are very affordable (check the web site for details). August is a beautiful time to be in Maine and the lobster bake is something you won
