NemesisElite April 5, 2010 Share April 5, 2010 Looking into MH fixtures. Curious if anyone has any comments/experiences with the sunpod (http://www.aquacave.com/24-sunpod-1x150w-hqibr-fixture-by-current-usa-807.html) thanks
zygote2k April 5, 2010 Share April 5, 2010 make the switch to LED now and save yourself time, money, and energy. If you're dead set on the MH,find it used.
NemesisElite April 5, 2010 Author Share April 5, 2010 well my tank is 20 inches tall (not including the space from the water to the fixture) and i would like to keep my anemones happy and maybe a clam. I'm not super fond of looking for a fixture that's going to run $700+ any reccomendations for an LED fixture/pendant for my tank?
zygote2k April 5, 2010 Share April 5, 2010 2 par 38's will set you back about $210. You can use any type of household light fixture that is 110v. A desk lamp would work.

zygote2k April 5, 2010 Share April 5, 2010 Yep- that's them. I replaced a 400w mh with 3) 20k, 40 degree optic bulbs. Shimmer is incredible, corals like it, keeps the light off the glass. Has par values greater than the halide.
