No Expert March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 I have recently noticed 100's of white worms in my 225. They are like bloodworms but they are white and you never see them move. They are increasing rapidly and don't like light as I find them in dark places on live rock. What are they and are they harmful to my reef and fish? Also, how do I get rid of them? No Expert March 28, 2010 Author Share March 28, 2010 No I don't have any pictures but I will take some and post them. Judging from some photo's I found of spaghetti worms I don't think that's my problem. The worms are solidly attached to the live rock and don't grow in size, just the numbers grow. They are all about the same size 3/4".
Jon Lazar March 28, 2010 Share March 28, 2010 Sounds like a type of harmless hitchhiking feather duster. They're pretty common, have hard tubes, and often have tiny reddish "feathers".

Yeah, that's what it sounds like. Like what he said they're pretty harmless, they even catch detritus and stuff out of the water.
