Guest clownfish4 June 6, 2004 June 6, 2004 That is one small tank!!! What kind of filtration and lighting are you using? How big are your fish? Looks sweet! Also, what kind of water changes are you implicating?
Grav June 6, 2004 June 6, 2004 Wow, Boy with all the stuff you have in that small a space... very well done! Would like to hear more about light and filtration too.
Guest cjm033 June 6, 2004 June 6, 2004 filter is a whisper 5-15 gallon power filter ive had for 3 years (i live by whisper there cheap and reliable) and i just added a fuge made out of a specimen container and an overflow from and old filter i found in my junk box( ill post pics soon as soon as i get batteries for my camera). the lighting is 2 -13 watt pc solar light with a huge reflector inside (shiny like no other). for water changes i do a 1/2-3/4 a gallon change every weekend. i feed the corals and fish every other day. and i top off every other day, as well as dose (reef complete reef supplement and reef carbonate) every other day (top off and add supplements one day and feed one day). the fish are only 1 inch and the other is 1 1/4 inch. there awsome little fish. my nex plan for this tank is a clam!!! i cant wait till the lfs gets some in. i plan on geting rid of one of the big clums of candy canes (probly at the symposium with trade and such) and getting a blue maxima. im also gonna add some shrooms to cover up any spots of lr you see :D . im also looking for a small hammer to put next to my frogspawn cuz im a big lps fan (im setting up a 28 gallon bow lps tank). thanks for the kind comments all other questions and comments are welcome. -Chris
Guest clownfish4 June 6, 2004 June 6, 2004 Wow, that's quite a set-up. Are you sure you'll be able to support a clam? Aside from needing exteme lighting, I have seen them grow quite big. Also, do you plan on fragging? I imagine that tank is going to run out of space quickly. My shrooms and polyps grow out of control. My xenias are pretty much taking over my 55.....Also, I have seen toadstools surpass 14 inches. Just a few thoughts.
Guest cjm033 June 6, 2004 June 6, 2004 yeah if anything starts to give me problems illjust frag it. and when the clam outgrows the tank i have a 28 gallon comming up. im pretty sure i have enough light and i will spot feed it every other day,Chris
