cbashaw June 5, 2004 June 5, 2004 Since taking my sailfin tang out of my 20h I have noticed more hair algae growing both on the live rock and the sand bed. What could I add to the tank to keep up with this algae? here's my current set up: I have used RO water since day 1 Excalibur skimmer (rated for 150G) 2 mj 1200's for water movement 10G refugium under the tank with chaeto, and 3-4"" of southdown Cleanup crew: 4 turbo snails 4 red leg hermits 6 blue leg hermits I have 2x55w pc lights on the tank now but will be replacing them with a 150w hqi setup soon, and want to prevent the algae from getting out of control when I get the new lights.
