Microscope Unit

Here are some pictures and videos that were taken using a Digital Blue QX5 Microscope. These were shot either by the kids or with the kids in my 5th grade science classes. The images include items from our tanks. We scooped things out like Aiptasia, Asterina stars, and various algae among other things. If you can't figure out what something is, right click for properties and the name should be in the link with the magnification power.

Wow, that looks like a fun little piece of equipment. How did the kids like the project?

They love it! You should have seen the lack of faces... they all have their noses buried in microscopes across the room. It gets pretty noisy with kids yelling out to everyone to look at what they see! The worm was a huge hit and they said they could see it eating the little green protoctists (I'm guessing) in the hair algae.
