six-line September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 So is anyone running one? If so please share on what and your impression of it's capabilities. Also what pump/s are you using? I'm thinking of getting a new skimmer for my tank and this one peaked my interest. Thanks.
Dell2go September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 I've been using it for a week. Like it so far. I use 2 Sicce pumps with mesh wheel. I tried the pinwheel. It's too much. I don't know about other.
amay121 September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 (edited) PM to Dell2Go, he's got one. hahaha. you beat me too it. Things I saw when I was at Huy's (Dell2Go) house. The bubbles are extremely fine. Not a lot of turbulence. Edited September 15, 2009 by amay121
Amuze September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 (edited) There's a good thread on RC about one. Looks like it performs really well. I was about one day away from ordering one before I ended up with an ASM. From what I read the cylinder cone is not seamless though. Sweet, this is my 666th post. Edited September 15, 2009 by audible
watson_barrett September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 i've been running one w/ one pump on my 100G system for about a month with a really heavy load. (sicee pumps) Handled the heavy load w/ no major issues while running it so far. Changing over to 300G+ system w/ 2 pumps. should be interresting to see how it handles it... Once I sell my old set-up i'm going to do a skimmer comparision of it vs. the euro reef RC-135, which I feel handled my old system better than the GS2 w/ just one pump...guessing it will do much better w/ 2 pumps though...
dandy7200 September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 I've been using it for a week. Like it so far. I use 2 Sicce pumps with mesh wheel. I tried the pinwheel. It's too much. I don't know about other. The large purple pinwheel from ATB moves too much water for the outlet plumbing of the GS2 when using 2 pumps. Don't worry though the properly matched pinwheel from GSA has been under development for a while and should be available in a couple weeks........
