These are a fascinating, almost completely all white clownfish same as the white on the bands of the full-striped Perculas. They are one of the newest strains of the True Percula Clown, a must have for those collecting the rare and unusuals. We also got more Picasso Clowns as well as full-striped True Perculas, Black Ocellaris, Gold Striped Maroon Clowns, Neon Dottybacks, Orchid Dottybacks and some Sharknose Gobies from ORA. Blue Spot Jawfish, Hi Fin Banded Gobies, Yashia Gobies, Spotted and Green Mandarin Dragonets, Purple Firefish, Chalk Bass, Flame Hawkfish, One-Spot Foxface, Yellow Tangs, Kole Tangs, a tiny Clown Trigger, Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse, Sixline Wrasse, Fine-Spotted Wrasse, McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, Bicolor Blennies, Lawnmower Blennies, Starry Blennies, Tail Spot Blennies, Scooters, Red Scooters and Flame Cardinals are among the few others that arrived this week. We are also expecting another shipment of fish including some unusuals. Blue Linkia Starfish, Sand Sifting Stars, Sexy Anemone Shrimp, a cute little Gold Coral Banded Shrimp, Fire Shrimp, Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, XL Nassarius Snails, Nerite Snails, Bumble Bee Snails, Banded Trochus Snails, Ninja Star Astrea Snails, Rose Anemones, bright Green Bubble Tip Anemones, Maidens Hair Macroalgae, Red Grape Macroalgae, Pom Pom/Boxing Crabs, Red and White Coco Worms, Feather Dusters, Red and Orange Finger Sponges, Blue Maxima Clams, Gold Maxima Clams and tons more arrived in this weeks shipments. A nice large coral shipment came in with some pretty neat pieces. Not much left but a few nice larger pieces and a selection of smaller nano sized pieces. Did You Know? Did you know that one of the most common mistakes made by the novice marine aquarist is topping off their aquarium from evaporation with salt water? You must top off your aquarium with FRESH water. The salt does not evaporate so as the water level decreases (from evaporation) the salt level increases. You would only use salt water if you are trying to slowly raise your salinity or if you are performing a water change. So the lesson is: top off with fresh to maintain a stable salinity and water change with salt.
