Sebea anemone..?

trockafella

Recommended Posts

I don't have any first hand info on skunks and sebaes but I have read post on the net that indicates that they do host in them. Here is one from WWM.

I have a pair of true percs in a purple sebae (Heteractis crispa).

Are sebae's any harder to keep the BTA's..? I read that other anemone's can put toxins (??) in the water that can harm sebea's.. I know you have a few anemones, are your BTA's ion the same tank as the sebae..?

From my experience they are not any harder to keep. The BTA has of course the name as being the easiest of them all but you should be fine with a Sebae. The Sebae will not walk around like the BTA and mine have always stayed down in the sand and off my rock work and corals.

I did have four H. crispa's in with about a dozen BTA's for 6 months until I was able to split the species up into seperate tanks. I didn't see any issues but I still wanted to split them up just in case.

If you decide to mix them I would place the Sebae last after the others have found their spot.

If I get one I would put it on the opposite side of tank.. My rbta has found himself (or herself) a home and stays there... So I figured the opposite side is a safe bet...
