Jan April 24, 2009 April 24, 2009 I've just aquired a 55 gallon tank and stand . Some of the silicone is peeling off. Can the tank be resealed? Would it be as good as if it came from the factory? How would I do this?
Brian Ward April 24, 2009 April 24, 2009 1- Yes, it can be resealed 2- As good as from the factory depends on how good you are at re-sealing an aquarium But mostly depends on removing the correct amount of existing silicone and reapplying the correct amount of new silicone. 3- Can't help you too much on the how to. I think there are others in the club that have done this successfully.
