tsprice82 March 2, 2009 March 2, 2009 If anyone needs a new pump, check out the Reeflo website. They are selling Blackfin pumps for as low as $195 for a 1800gph pump. I just bought one to replace my closed loop pump.
JC Pollman March 2, 2009 March 2, 2009 Be sure to read the specs carefully - they are drawing twice the juice compared to the regular pumps, but they have much better head pressure.
tsprice82 March 2, 2009 Author March 2, 2009 I have calculated my head pressure at 10 ft, so if I read the chart correctly that pump should yield 1000gph and draw a little more than 75 watts. Is that high?
JC Pollman March 2, 2009 March 2, 2009 I think when I was looking at the 2500 model, it was running about 200 watts, versus a regular DART at 100 watts.
tsprice82 March 2, 2009 Author March 2, 2009 At 10ft the Dart draws 146 watts and pumps 1520gph, from the chart on their website.
JC Pollman March 3, 2009 March 3, 2009 And at 4 feet head pressure - which is probably what the average sump will need - what are the differences? Reeflo makes great equipment, but not everything they make is for every situation. This intro price is also great, but if you do not need the head pressure, you are going to be paying a bit more for electricity.
