scw2u February 25, 2009 Share February 25, 2009 I am returning to the hobby after being on the sideline for a number of years. I previously had a 72 bowfront and am now moving up to 92 corner. I recognize there are some additional challenges for this shape of tank. I was wondering if anyone can provide their experience, particularly around the lighting. I'd like the most flexibility in terms of corals I'll be able to support, but also looking for relitively low-maintence, so will be sticking with hardy varieties. I'm current considering the 36" Coralife Aqualight Pro model with a 250w MH and 2x65w PC bulbs. Given my space constraints above the tank, I think this is the biggest out of a box unit I can get. Thoughts?
jason the filter freak February 25, 2009 Share February 25, 2009 I like the outer orbit pro myself, take a look at that fixture if you get the chance
Boret February 25, 2009 Share February 25, 2009 Hi there, I am building a 92 corner myself. Check my signature for the Build thread, it might give you some ideas.
steveoutlaw February 25, 2009 Share February 25, 2009 Outer Orbits are great for the money (HQI + T5). However, if you want to go high end you can go with the sfiligoi line of fixtures. Are you going to be using the legs or hanging from the ceiling (or structure)?
