Stu January 31, 2009 January 31, 2009 I'm looking at getting a small ORA clam in Sean's next ORA order. They are all small (1.5 in.), but I'm trying to decide between a maxima or a squamosa. I've kept maximas and croceas before, but my present tank (12g nano) only has a 70w 14k over it. Is there a big difference between maximas and squamosas in terms of hardiness, light requirements, and phyto?
MisterTang January 31, 2009 January 31, 2009 Yes. Squamosa clams are hardier than maxima clams, and have a lower light requirement. I scooped up the last ORA squamosa he had, and it's doing great in my tank.
