lanzera34 June 27, 2008 June 27, 2008 I have a TEk T5 fixtures that I need to replace the endcaps on. Can I just use any waterproof endcap. Also is it an easy thing to change these out or could I mess the fixture up if I am not careful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris

Chris You can use any same-sized endcap; just make sure the wires removed from the old endcaps go to the same terminals on the new ones. Most endcaps I've used have a wire clamp system - you just push a stripped wire in, and it'll stick. They can be defeated with a tiny screwdriver - just insert next to the old wire, pull the old wire out and put it in the new socket immediately - then you're sure not to get the wires confused. Paul

Chris I'm looking to buy a TEK T-5 HO with 6 lamps and I was wondering why you need to replace the endcaps?
