Advice needed on attaching pipe organ coral

We have pipe organ about the size of a baseball. To keep it in place it is wedged between two rocks. I was thinking about glueing the base of the pipe organ to a rock to keep it attached and allow it to self propogate on the sides. ANy thoughts on any cons of gluing the base of the red tubes to rocK?

 

I'm also thinking about fragging this in half. Does anyone have any experience? If so, any tips on how to do this?
