jnguyen4007 February 22, 2008 February 22, 2008 I just received a replacement temp probe from Neptune to replace the malfunctioned one that came with my ACIII. The first thing I noticed after I opened the package was just how much larger the probe tip was compared to the original one that I had. Not only was it hefty compared to the old probe, the temp probe also came with a thick rubber tip that looked almost like those that came with the pH probe to protect it. To be on the safe side, I emailed Kurt and thanked him for getting a free replacement out to me so quickly and to find out whether I should remove the rubber tip or leave it on. It was a good thing I checked because the replied I got back from Kurt was that I needed to leave the rubber tip on. I tested the temp read out on a glass of water and compared that to a different digital thermometer and the result was nearly identical. Satisfied with my reading, I reprogrammed the controller so it now monitor and control my tank's temp once again. Now I can stop calling my wife every few hours and asked her to check my tank's temp reading for me while I'm at work.
