Larry Grenier February 1, 2008 Share February 1, 2008 (edited) Are these guys too distructive or make a mess in the tank? Anyone keep these to adult where their 1 stripe is replaced with a more "convict" pattern? Comments? guppychao February 1, 2008 Share February 1, 2008 I have had mine for 4-5 years now, it's about 6-8 inches long. I had first in a tank with sand, and they like to dig and make channels. now i have a bare bottom tank, and he just hids in the rock very shy fish, slow and seems that his eyesight is not so great either, have to hand feed it sometimes since the other fish eat the food faster than he can find
Larry Grenier February 1, 2008 Author Share February 1, 2008 I read on one site Large individuals will eat ornamental shrimps and tinyl fishes. I like keeping shrimp so maybe not a good idea.
